Research and Teaching Interests
My research examines how decision making and everyday problem solving evolve throughout the adult life span. It also focuses on the roles that interpersonal closeness and one's capacity for emotion regulation have on cognition.
My teaching interests include instruction on the psychological processes that change as we grow older. Senior citizens are a valuable part of our community, so psychologists and other professionals should learn about those factors underlying the decisions and lifestyles of today's active seniors.
