Becoming a Teacher at WKU

Very young children (birth to pre-school-aged), with and without disabilities, check out our program in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education. This program has two concentrations, one for those who want teacher certification, and one for those who plan to work in settings, such as some day-care centers, that do not require teacher certification. The degree you will earn is the BS in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education, and if you choose the teacher certification concentration, the certification you will be eligible for is Birth to Primary.
