  At the 61st Annual Summer Conference of the National Council of Professors of Educational Administration, July 31-August 3, 2007 in Chicago, IL. Jay Fiene received the presidential gavel. Linda Morford, 2006-2007 president stepped down from the office and passed responsibilities to Jay Fiene with best wishes for the 2007-2008 year. Jay Fiene is a long-standing and active member of the organization. He has served as editor of the newsletter in past years and as a member of the executive board from 2005 to present. He brings to this office knowledge in the field of administrator preparation and in the organizational goals of NCPEA.
