Educational Leadership Doctoral Program

 
Admission Requirements

Candidates will be individuals who

  1. have completed at least a master’s degree in their field,
  2. have demonstrated leadership capacity within their organizational setting, and
  3. are looking to enlarge and enhance their abilities to improve their organizations and communities.

The program consists of 45-60 hours, based on individualized candidate assessments. Applied research is required of all participants within the program and these projects focus on practice-based problems. Students who average six credit hours per semester (including summers) can complete the program in approximately three calendar years.

Along with the on-line application, the following documents are required for admission consideration:

*  Personal Statement of Goals and Rationale for Doctoral Study

*  Three Letters of Recommendation

Tuition Information

The tuition rate for the program is based on WKU graduate tuition rates. Additionally there is a course fee per credit hour for students in the program. The current course fee is $1,200 per semester for 6 or more hours, $600 for less than 5 hours. This program fee is constant for each class (cohort) admitted for three years. It is anticipated that students can complete the program in three years based on a 45-60 hour program. A per credit hour fee is charged for review and assessment of experience and transfer credit.
