If an Exceptional Child Education course is not documented on the candidate’s undergraduate program, the student must enroll in EXED 516 Online Course.

If an EXED course is documented on the candidate’s undergraduate transcript, another course may be selected from:
SEC 580, EDU 544, LTCY 524 Online Course, LTCY 444G Online Course, GTE 537, PSY 519, LME 547, or any other graduate level professional education course with advisor approval.

If an Exceptional Child Education course is not documented on the candidate’s undergraduate program, students are required to enroll in EXED 516 Online Course.  (3 hours)
These hours will be in addition to the 30 hours required for the program.

EDU 501 must be taken before the student completes 6 hours of graduate courses.

EDU 596 must be taken during the student’s last semester of Master’s program.

MASTERS COMPREHENSIVE EXAM GUIDELINES

Written comprehensive examinations are required of all Masters degree candidates in teacher education programs. Students must have completed the course requirements for their Master degree program before applying for the comprehensive exams.
