Brandt Cashion (Dec '00) emailed on 5 Nov 06:  "I just wanted to get you updated on some things that have been going on with my family and me.  I was promoted to Captain in 2003 and got out of the Army in March of 2004. I am still in the IRR for another year.  I presently am an Environmental Engineer and work for a company in North Carolina but yes, I still live in Bowling Green.  I have a 1 year old son and have another baby on the way, due in May of next year. Don’t know if it is a boy or girl yet.  My wife Amanda is a 2nd grade teacher at Simpson Elementary in Franklin, KY and loves being with the kids and is very glad I am out.  I miss hearing from everybody and haven’t really talked to but a few since I have been out.  But things are going really well."  His email is bcashion@selaboratories.com

CPT Sean R. Taylor (‘Aug00).  Sean’s wife, Rachel, emailed from Wuerzburg, Germany on 5Feb04 that he’s being deployed to Iraq on 7Feb.  Sean is the S4 (Supply) OIC of HHOC 101 MI BN.  His email is sean.ray.taylor@us.army.mil

CPT William Derek Hickey ('00) visited on 6Jun03.  He's just returned from a nine month deployment and is currently assigned to 1st Bn, 5th Special Forces Group, Fort Campbell, KY, as the Service Detachment Commander.  Promotion to Captain should be in about three months - congratulations!  His email is william.d.hickey@us.army.mil

1LT Matt Spear (Dec '00) was commissioned on 16 Dec 2000 in Field Artillery branch.  After completing FA OBC he was assigned to Fort Campbell.  He's currently deployed.  His email is wesley.spear@us.army.mil

1LT Chad Taylor (Dec '00) was commissioned on 16 Dec 2000 as a USAR Aviation officer.  He is assigned to the 8/229th Attack Helicopter, Fort Knox, KY.  He's working at WKU until OBC.

1LT Jonathan Ballard (May '00) was assigned to the Hilltopper Battalion the day after commissioning as our Gold Bar Recruiter.  He departed for Signal Corps Officer Basic Course on 22 Sep 00.  Following graduation in Feb01, he returned to WKU under the Hometown Recruiter Program until PCS to Kuwait in late Mar01.  His email is ballajl@excite.com

1LT Sean Stewart (May '00) reported to MI OBC in Feb '01.

CPT Brandon Ungetheim ('00) emailed on 4/11/2007: " Currently I am the commander of the 196th Quartermaster Company, 129th CSSB, 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (AASLT). The 196th is a unique unit with both water purification assetts and parachute riggers. Command has been a great experience and I am enjoying the challenges that come along with it. I have served two tours in Iraq to date and expecting to serve again before it's all said and done. My wife Kristin and son Nathan (2) are doing well. Kristin has been instrumental with keeping my FRG online and Nathan is just busy. "Good to the Last Drop" ". His email is brandon.ungetheim@conus.army.mil

CPT Scott Driver (Dec 2000) emailed on Oct 23, 2007: "I am currently stationed out of Bragg but here at LSA Anaconda, Iraq. I will be taking command here shortly but for now I am the Force Health Protection Medical Operations OIC for a Multifunctional Medical Battalion. My wife Sally is expecting again, this time with twin boys!!! This will make Boy, girl, boy, boy. I think we are done. Having four children under the age of four by this spring will be quite a workload. Still, as long as they are healthy, we are happy. I still refuse to get another dog. The last dogs we had, there were issues with them being the babies before we had children of the two legged variety. Jealousy reared its ugly head and the dogs had to go. Hope all you fellow Hilltoppers out there are living the dream!!!" Scott's email is scott.driver@iraq.centcom.mil
