Students honor veterans
Local veterans from every branch of service were honored in ceremonies throughout Muhlenberg County in celebration of Veteran’s Day. The ceremonies began Nov. 9 at Longest Elementary with a program that included performances by the school's chorus, Muhlenberg North High School's JROTC cadets and a poem read by student Brooklyn Vincent. Veterans were recognized by state Rep. Brent Yonts. Veterans were recognized again Nov. 11 at MNHS with a program presented by the JROTC cadets that featured a drill demonstration and Missing in Action/Prisoner of War memorial presentation.
