Specialist in Education Degree

Admission Requirements

The program's reputation is positive." --program graduate

Applicants for the Specialist in Education-School Psychology degree should have completed the following minimum requirements:
  • Courses in general psychology, abnormal or personality psychology, statistics, and experimental methodology.
  • A Baccalaureate degree or anticipation of a Baccalaureate degree in psychology or a related field.
  • A minimum score of 850 on the Graduate Record Examination General Test Verbal plus Quantitative areas. Scores of at least 1000 (Verbal plus Quantitative) are preferred.
  • A minimum GRE Writing score of 3.5 is required.
  • Strong letters of recommendation.
  • An undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Interviews are recommended.
  • Note: Selection is competitive above the minimum criteria. Exceptions to the above criteria may be made for students with exceptional backgrounds or experiences.
