Ed. S. in Psychology - School Psychology:
Specialist in Education Degree

Admission Requirements

Applicants for the Specialist in Education-School Psychology degree should have completed the following minimum requirements:

Courses in general psychology, abnormal or personality psychology, statistics, and experimental methodology.

A Baccalaureate degree or anticipation of a Baccalaureate degree in psychology or a related field.

A minimum score of 850 on the Graduate Record Examination General Test Verbal plus Quantitative areas. Scores of at least 1000 (Verbal plus Quantitative) are preferred.

A minimum GRE Writing score of 3.5 is required.

Strong letters of recommendation.

An undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0.

Strong interpersonal skills. Interviews are recommended.

Note: Selection is competitive above the minimum criteria. Exceptions to the above criteria may be made for students with exceptional backgrounds or experiences.
