Current Study Information

  • The effects of intensity level and expertise on attentional focus during exercise

    This study examined how the intensity level of an exercise bout affects participant’s attentional focus. In addition, Stage of Change for exercise participation will be examined as a moderator variable.

  • Future time perspective and exercise behavior

    This study examines the constructs of future time perspective, Self-Determination Theory, and use exercise-related self-talk with regard to Stage of Change for exercise participation and relationships with exercise behaviors.

  • Comparing the effects of two attentional focus strategies on exercise intensity

    This study compares the induction of two attentional focus strategies (positive self-talk vs. bodily sensations) with regard to their effect on self-selected exercise intensity. Stage of Change for exercise participation will be examined as a moderator variable.
